Western North Dakota Honor Flight plans its ninth trip to Washington D.C. later this month, with veterans set to leave April 26 and return April 27.
The volunteer-run nonprofit says the mission will take another group of veterans from across western North Dakota to see the national memorials tied to their service. Planned stops include the World War II, Korean War and Vietnam veterans memorials, along with Arlington National Cemetery.
The group says its program provides trips at no cost to veterans and gives priority to World War II and Korean War veterans, along with other veterans facing serious health concerns.
Organizers also plan a public welcoming event when they return at the Bismarck Airport at around 7 p.m. on April 27.
This will be their ninth annual trip to Washington D.C.
