A North Dakota Judge has ruled that ‘Dreamers’ in the state aren’t allowed to get health insurance through the Affordable Care Act.
District Court Judge Daniel Traynor issued his ruling this week from Bismarck, blocking healthcare access for those brought to the country illegally as young children. The Biden Administration had ruled that the nearly-150,000 child immigrants, known as ‘Dreamers’, were able to enroll in the coverage.
The ruling applies to 19 states that had sued the Biden Administration over the rule, including North Dakota and South Dakota. The case is likely headed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
