Minot police say a New Town man has been apprehended in relation to a vehicle theft in Minot on Monday afternoon.
According to the police report, officers got a call about a stolen purse at a business in southwest Minot. After the person reported the theft, they also discovered their vehicle was stolen. Using a tracking app, police found the stolen car at a Flying J Travel Center. Police say this is when they found a 20-year-old man from New Town, who was the vehicle’s only driver. Police say the driver is facing theft of a Motor Vehicle, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia other than marijuana.
The stolen vehicle and purse have been returned to the owner.
