Using a season-high 77 point performance, the Medina-Pingree/Buchanan Thunder (3-5) downed the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter Imperials (2-7) on Friday night, 77-55.
The offense was electric for the Thunder, and junior guard Terek Kinzell led the way with 26 points. Teammate Chase Ova added 13 points, as well. The Imperials were paced by Tristan Schaffner’s 24 points. The 6-foot-3 senior entered the game averaging a team leading 22.4 points per game.
Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter will face Strasburg/Zeeland on Tuesday, January 21 at 7:30 p.m. Medina-Pingree/Buchanan will have a date with the Warwick Warriors that same Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
