Reuters reports that North Dakota’s oil production was down between 125,000 barrels per day and 150,000 barrels per day due to extreme cold weather and other challenges with oil operations.

The numbers and information comes from the state’s pipeline authority in a Monday report. North Dakota is the third best producer of oil in the country and the production cuts impacted about 12% of the regions’ 1.1 million barrels per day of oil output, according to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Director of North Dakota Pipeline Authority Justin Kringstad said that the majority of lost production is expected to be back on track over the next four to seven days as the state warms up.
