Northern Cass Elementary School teacher Jessica Stoen received a surprise Milken Educator Award during a Valentine’s Day assembly in Hunter, N.D. The prestigious national honor, known as the “Oscar of Teaching,” includes a $25,000 cash prize. Stoen, who teaches second grade, is the only North Dakota educator among 45 professionals selected across the nation for 2024-2025.
