The North Dakota Department of Transportation plans to reconstruct a major Jamestown intersection by 2027, with bid plans due by May 2026. The project includes rebuilding the U.S. Highway 52 and 10th Street Southeast intersection with a roundabout, and reconstructing Business Loop West with a five-lane configuration. The project, estimated at $15.7 million total, will also replace two bridges and re-stripe 1st Avenue South. Mayor Dwaine Heinrich supports the roundabout option, citing improved safety and traffic flow. The project aims to address bridge conditions, traffic operations, and pedestrian access issues.
