Unauthorized drainage allegations have been asserted against Stutsman County Commissioner Chad Wolsky. The Stutsman County Water Resource Board will meet on the fifth of March to investigate the unauthorized drainage. Rural resident Jerald Orn claims Wolsky and landowner Jerome Martin dug ditches in Courtenay Township without proper approval, causing water to flow into Orn’s Barnes County property. Wolsky defends his actions, saying that the drainage stays within the intended land as he awaits NRCS wetland determination, while promising to address any issues that have arisen. He believes he’s being “personally targeted,” as similar drainage violations elsewhere go unreported.
