After the last couple months of mild play, and some injuries throwing off the starting lineup, the Minnesota Timberwolves at full strength again, look to be a force as the NBA playoffs start to loom.

Last night the Timberwolves won their 6th straight game defeating the Denver Nuggets on the road 115-95.

It was a good team effort as Anthony Edwards started off cold from the field, but eventually would warm up to lead the team in scoring with 29, to nobodies surprise.

Julius Randle also contributed 25 points, and Donte DiVencenzo added 10 points off the bench.

The team earned the victory on the road all while trying to contain MVP-Candidate Nicola Jokic who finished the night with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

The win marks the 6th straight victory for the Timberwolves, who have beaten teams a Top 10 team in the conference should beat including Charlotte, Miami, Philadelphia, and Phoenix, but this Denver win could mean good things to come from a Timberwolves team who has delivered below expectations so far this season.

The Wolves improved to 38-29 and are in a current battle with the Golden State Warriors for the 6th seed in the Western Conference, this spot is pivotal for the Wolves going forward to be able to avoid playing in the play-in tourney with 3 other teams. One note from this situation, the Wolves will have to outright have a better record than the Warriors in order to jump them in the standings since Golden State holds the tiebreaker over Minnesota.

The Timberwolves will be in action again this Friday starting a 5 game home stretch hosting the Orlando Magic.
