Firefighters responded to a suspected arson at a Tesla charging station in the Scheels parking lot on 45th Street South in Fargo early Friday morning. Crews discovered a small fire, burning wood chips, and a gas can near the charging stations around 3:15 a.m. on Friday. All charging stations lost power after the incident, and officials notified the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as standard procedure. Police K9 units assisted with the investigation. This incident follows similar Tesla-targeted vandalism nationwide, including vehicles set ablaze in Las Vegas, burning Cybertrucks at a Kansas City dealership, and dealership damage in Chicago. These attacks come as Tesla CEO Elon Musk heads the Department of Government Efficiency in the Trump administration.
