Residential Curbside Cleanup Week begins this Monday in Jamestown, going through Saturday. The Jamestown Sun reports that Jamestown’s Sanitation and Solid Waste Department is preparing for this busy week by mobilizing city workers; sanitation foreman Shawn O’Neill says that every city department pitches in for Cleanup Week, and that he has screened some James River Correctional Center inmates for assistance. The schedule for pickup starts on Monday in the southeast of town, Tuesday hits the southwest, Wednesday is the northwest, and on Thursday the northeast region of town will be addressed. Items should be placed on the roadway close to the curb or shoulder. There are certain guidelines for what is accepted, find more information here: Cleanup Week Guide
