By Payton Gall May 12, 2025 | 9:04 AM

The University of Jamestown softball team will have their first national tournament appearance today. Jimmie Softball is seeded at No. 4, and will face No. 5-seeded Arizona Christian University in the first round of the 2025 NAIA Softball National Tournament at 1pm Central in Klamath, Oregon. Head coach Kevin Gall was surprised with the destination of the tournament, having expected to travel by bus within 600 miles rather than flying to Oregon. The No. 4-seeded Jimmies have a 35-15 record this season. Arizona Christian, who went 27-25 this season, hold a 2-1 record against the Jimmies, with their most recent matchup resulting in a 13-5 Jamestown victory on March 3, led by Maddie Spaeth’s 3-for-4 performance with 4 RBIs and two runs. This will be Jamestown’s first NAIA Tournament appearance since the 2017-18 season, when they went 1-2, defeating Oklahoma Wesleyan but losing twice to Midland University.
