Federal authorities are assisting the Oakes Police Department in an incident that led to the arrest of several people. No details have been confirmed regarding the arrests at this point, but Oakes Police chief Matt O’Brien did inform Valley News Live that the DEA is investigating. The news agency received tips from viewers last week, with one saying that multiple agencies were in town, with claims made that a helicopter was circling the town.
