Jamestown broke century-old high and low temperature records within the span of a week. A heat wave that came with record-breaking temperatures torched a large part of the Midwest in mid-May. That weather quickly gave way to record-breaking cold and rainfall, even trace amounts of snow. High temperatures in Jamestown reached 93 degrees on May 11th, breaking the previous record of 92 degrees set in 1900. Jamestown broke a low temperature record on May 17th when the high temperature reached 42 degrees, breaking the 49 degree record in 1924.
