A man charged in a widely-covered assault in downtown Fargo last year has been found guilty at trial.
49-year old John Hernandez was found guilty on two counts of aggravated assault and one count of accomplice to aggravated assault. Hernandez was apprehended after being identified as one of six people arrested after a brawl on Northern Pacific Avenue in April of 2024. That brawl left one victim with serious injuries including broken bones in his face.
Sentencing for Hernandez will be held on September 8.
Two other suspects in the brawl are awaiting trials later this year, while three others have pleaded guilty.
