By Payton Gall May 30, 2025 | 4:32 PM

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers increased water releases at Pipestem Reservoir by 50 cubic feet per second Friday morning, bringing the total to 130 cfs. Combined with Jamestown Reservoir’s steady 150 cfs release, total outflow from both reservoirs is now 280 cfs. The increase at Pipestem is designed to stabilize the pool elevation at 1,453.14 feet above sea level through early June to promote crappie spawning. Jamestown Reservoir maintains its pool elevation at 1,431.15 feet above sea level.
