A Devils Lake woman and her two-year-old child were injured Thursday morning when their Jeep Grand Cherokee struck the back of a gravel trailer on Steele County Road 8, ten miles east of Finley.
The crash happened just after eleven-thirty when the truck had stopped for a stop sign at Highway 200. The woman’s vehicle crested a hill and rear-ended the trailer. Both mother and child were taken to the hospital by ambulance – the woman with serious injuries. The truck driver from Hillsboro was not hurt.
All parties were wearing seat belts. The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
