Created by three Valley City High School graduates to reunite friends in 2013, the Wiffle Ball World Series is an event that now draws 16 teams and over 200 spectators.

Over the past 13 years, the WBWS has supplied lots of summer magic and spectacle. They’ve had an Elvis impersonator, a helicopter circling overhead, the NDSU drumline adding rhythm, and even a guy who balanced a ladder on his chin.

It also supports a great cause. This year benefits Landon’s Light Foundation, supporting children with serious medical illness. The WBWS has raised over $50,000 for charity since 2013.

Friday’s welcome party starts at 7 p.m. with a ’90s theme and live music. Saturday features tournament play with $50 entry per player including food, drinks and some tournament goodies.

The 13th and final Wiffle Ball World Series happens Saturday, July 26, at the Bergan family backyard. Join KSJB radio as we broadcast live from the event!
