Country star Luke Bryan was struck in the face by a flying object while performing at the North Dakota State Fair on Saturday, July 26. The incident occurred during his hit song “Country Girl” which ended up being his last song of the set.

Video footage shows Bryan briefly pausing mid-chorus, staring into the crowd at the apparent source, then smiling and wiping his face before continuing the performance without interruption.

The show marked one of Bryan’s first performances after recovering from COVID-19, which had forced him to cancel several previous concerts. He told the crowd he was still feeling effects from the virus but was determined to perform, saying he would sing when he could and let fans sing when he couldn’t.

It remains unclear what object was thrown, but it appeared to be a beer can. Bryan hasn’t publicly commented on the incident, and Ward County Sheriff’s officials say the person responsible hasn’t been identified. No formal complaint was filed.
