Valley News Live first reported that a Jamestown man is facing multiple charges after police say he forced his way into a home from which he had been previously trespassed.
The homeowner called police around 9 p.m. July 28, saying Aaron Carow was damaging his property. Officers confirmed a current no-trespass order for Carow at the address.
When officers arrived, Carow denied knowing about the trespass order and claimed he was never on the property, according to court documents.
According to the victim’s account to the police, Carow forcibly entered the front door, tipped over a chair in the kitchen, grabbed a chainsaw and threw it at a window attempting to break it, then grabbed a rifle and slammed it, breaking the stock in half.
Officers seized the broken rifle as evidence and photographed the chainsaw. Carow was held without bond until seeing a judge. He is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal mischief. A preliminary hearing is set for August 20.
