A high-speed crash on eastbound I-94 this morning left one person dead and another critically injured. The accident happened at 6:40 AM near mile marker 196, when a 2012 Nissan Versa traveling at high speed in the passing lane struck the rear of a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek. The driver of the Versa was pronounced dead at the scene. The Crosstrek driver was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Traffic delays are expected in the area as the investigation continues.
