A 28-year-old Crookston man faces felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly threatening and assaulting four juveniles in an alleyway. As first reported by Valley News Live, Casey Kelly was charged Monday in Polk County Court with felony threats of violence and two misdemeanor assault counts stemming from an October 17th incident near 8th Street West. Court documents say Kelly yelled at four teens aged 14 and 15 walking home, claimed it was “his block,” then punched two of them multiple times. When the teens tried to restrain him, Kelly allegedly grabbed one by the hair and threatened to “rip your throat out.” The juveniles called 911 during the attack. Kelly, who admitted drinking a pint of vodka earlier that day, was hostile with officers and emergency medical staff. The felony charge carries up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
