Mild temperatures and high winds are heading our way this week, along with more snow.

Accumulation from scattered flurries and up to a couple of inches is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday in areas.  Temperatures will rise into the 30s today in Stutsman County, with highs above freezing predicted in Jamestown.

Above-freezing temperatures will continue on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service who is monitoring a heavy precipitation system that could impact areas near the Canadian border throughout the day.

The NWS has issued a high wind watch, with sustained wind speeds of 40 miles per hour possible across Jamestown and the northern James River Valley.  Gusts of up to 60 miles per hour could make driving conditions very hazardous on Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Drifting could be a concern in areas where temperatures drop back below freezing, while likely scattered snow impacts the area on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Periodic snow is expected to continue through the week, with a colder, drier period beginning this weekend.
