City crews are back at work clearing snow in Jamestown — this time focusing on the downtown district.
The City Engineer’s Office said crews will will begin/began clearing snow in the downtown business district today at 11 a.m., with work continuing until the area is finished. Drivers are asked to move vehicles from downtown streets, avenues and alleys to help plows get through.
Officials remind property owners that sidewalks must be kept clear under city ordinance, and pushing snow back into the street is illegal and can lead to fines.
Today’s schedule may change depending on drifting and any additional snowfall.
