Michael Romans | Stutman County
A local elementary school teacher and volunteer firefighter is behind bars following an investigation into an alleged relationship with a student.
Jamestown Police arrested 45-year-old Michael Paul Romans on Monday. Investigators say the Gussner Elementary teacher engaged in sexual abuse of a Jamestown Public School student over the course of 1-2 years.
Romans faces a charge of corruption of a minor. Both the school district and the city have placed him on administrative leave. He is currently being held at the Stutsman County Correctional Center awaiting formal charges.
