Get ready for a night of cinematic time travel as the Barnes County Museum prepares to fire up the projector for a nostalgic trip back to the mid-20th century.
Museum Curator Wes Anderson will host the fourth installment of his 16mm Film Fest on Thursday, February 5th. The event features a curated collection of educational movies once common in 1970s classrooms—covering everything from space travel, Cold War politics and the Vietnam War to vintage health and science lessons.
The evening promises a full sensory experience with fresh buttered popcorn and homemade root beer provided by the Lewie Legge and the Historical Society. Attendees are encouraged to bring the kids for a rare look at how the world was viewed through a flickering lens fifty years ago.
Thursday, Feb. 5, at 7:00 p.m. at the Barnes County Museum (315 Central Ave N, Valley City). The event is FREE and open to the public.
All Lectures are at the Barnes County Historical Society Museum and held in conjunction with Valley City State University.
