Crews are clearing snow from the emergency routes in Jamestown today, spanning from 5 a.m. until completed. The downtown business district will be cleared tomorrow night at 11:00 p.m.
Anyone parked on emergency routes, downtown streets, avenues, and alleyways is ordered to move their vehicles during these times.
City Ordinance Section 25-10 requires that property owners keep the sidewalk adjoining the property clear of snow and ice. Discarding snow or ice on the city street is not allowed. This violation is a class B misdemeanor under the general penalty and will result in a fine.
