Paving Work Begins Monday in Jamestown

Street paving begins in Jamestown today, the first of multiple planned construction operations this spring.

Monday’s chip-sealing project will affect the northeast part of town from 13^th Street NE to the north and westward.   This includes the stretch past Jamestown Regional Airport, and most residential streets to the west to 3^rd Avenue NE.

The construction work will not affect Highway 20 or 12^th Avenue NE.

City officials ask residents to be patient and use cation throughout the re-paving process.   Detours may be posted where necessary, and some streets may be closed.

Chip sealing in other areas of the city will begin after Phase 1 is complete.
