North Dakota Health and Human Services announced Friday the launch of a $40 million funding initiative to upgrade rural healthcare across the state.
The program is aiming to award about twenty rural hospitals up to $2 million each. The goal is to replace aging clinical equipment, keeping things like advanced imaging, emergency/trauma stabilization tools, and labor and delivery technology close to home, so patients don’t have to travel hours for specialized care.
Eligible rural facilities have until June 30th to apply. www.hhs.nd.gov/rural-health-transformation/funding
