It’s opening day for Jamestown Area Youth Baseball
JAYBAL’s festivities begin at 5:30 tonight at Jack Brown Stadium. The event is open to the community and includes free admission, family activities, concession stand items and a league-wide group photo.
The evening also includes Legion baseball, with Jamestown scheduled to host Valley City at 7 p.m.
JAYBAL is a summer travel league for all ages of players. The core of the league includes Legion, Babe Ruth, and Cal Ripken programs. They also have a new training facility, dubbed ‘The Eagles Nest’ in southeast Jamestown.
Severe weather predicted on Wednesday could force a delay or postponement of the events.
