Roughly one in five eligible North Dakota voters showed up for Tuesday’s primary election.
Unofficial results from the Secretary of State’s office show that over 125,000 ballots were cast, which represents a 21% turnout. Officials say this aligns with North Dakota’s track record for the June primary, which averages at around 22%. Stutsman County’s turnout was slightly below the state’s average; 3,417 ballots were cast, which is roughly 19.8% of eligible voters in the county, per a 2025 census estimate.
State and county canvassing boards are scheduled to certify the official results later this month.
