Motorists in Jamestown, heads up: multiple construction delays and lane closures occurred in town today.
The City Engineer’s Office reports active lane reductions on Business Loop West and Highway 281 South, a.k.a. Mill Hill, for road repairs. The southbound lane closure stretches from the bottom of Mill Hill to the middle of Mill Hill. During this time, the intersection of 12th St SW and 281 South will be closed during the work. There also is a northbound lane reduction from 17th to 18th St. SW in place on Mill Hill. There also was a South/ West bound lane reduction (outside lane) of Business Loop West from 2nd Ave SW to 4th Ave SW. These closures are expected to wrap up today, according to the Engineer’s Office.
However, there is a longer project coming into play: the northbound lanes on First Avenue South from Fred’s Den to U.S. Bank will be reduced to a single lane daily. The First Avenue reduction is expected to last for approximately two weeks. Drivers are urged to use caution and find alternate routes.
