Jamestown School Board Declines to Reconsider Hiring Nold
JAMESTOWN - With an audience of around 140, the Jamestown School Board took testimony from two members of the public and several board members before voting 4 to 5 not to reconsider an April 25 decision to not hire Jeff Nold for the business teaching position at Jamestown High School.

Board members Greg Allen, Diane Hanson, Heidi Larson and Gail Martin favored reopening the discussion of Nold as a candidate. Members Terry Anderson, Roger Haut, Shelly Jystad, Roy Musland, and Tanya Ostlie were opposed to the action.

The vote not to reconsider ended all discussion on the matter and the large crowd left the building quietly. The meeting had been moved to the Middle School gymnasium to accomodate the large attendance.

An online petition with over 500 signatures called for the hiring of Nold, who is the son of Jamestown High School Principal Bill Nold.
