Weather Forecast Impacting Water Releases at Jamestown
JAMESTOWN - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says it will maintain lower releases from Jamestown and Pipestem Dams for the next day or two. Concerns over high James River levels downstream of Jamestown and possible heavy rainfall in the forecast will keep releases at Jamestown Dam at 700 cfs and at the Pipestem Dam at 200 cfs, for a combined flow of 900 cubic-feet-per-second (cfs).
