Possible Armed Confrontation in Jamestown
JAMESTOWN, ND – A brief confrontation on Tuesday night led to the arrest of a Jamestown man.

Police Chief Scott Edinger reported that Philip Moore, 40, reportedly confronted a group of thirteen people around 9:30 Tuesday evening in the north city parking lot on the west side of First Avenue.

Someone in the group of sixteen to twenty-year olds called 911 claiming that Moore had pulled out a gun during the confrontation.

Five police officers responded and took Moore into custody without incident in the 800 block of Second Avenue Southwest.

The Stutsman County state’s attorney is reviewing the case. No formal charges had been filed as of late Wednesday.
