Minneapolis police say a baby was found in the car seat of a U-Haul flagged as stolen with drug paraphernalia in reach of the infant.
Officers stopped the driver of the vehicle and found the drugs and the baby after flagging the vehicle down in mid-February. The baby was unresponsive when taken to the hospital but doctors were able to stabilize him. The small child is reportedly back with his grandparents and doing well.
According to the Minnesota Poison Control System, 35% of poison cases involved children under the age of six in Minnesota in 2023.
