Federal health officials have issued a massive recall for nearly two thousand products following a “filth” infestation at a Midwest distribution center.
The FDA says Minneapolis-based Gold Star Distribution was operating under “insanitary conditions,” finding bird and rodent droppings throughout its warehouse. The recall covers a wide range of goods—including Tylenol, baby formula, pet food, and popular snacks like Reese’s and Pringles.
The products were sold at more than 50 markets and gas stations across Minnesota, North Dakota, and Indiana, including one day care. While no illnesses have been reported, officials say the contamination poses a serious risk of Salmonella.
