A local woman faces felony charges after allegedly attacking a man with a cane and a frying pan in two separate incidents within three days of each other last week, as first reported by the Jamestown Sun.

Upon arriving to the scene, police say they observed a man who was bleeding heavily from his head, covering his face and torso. 35-year-old Tania Marie Angeles allegedly struck the victim in the head with a cane on New Year’s Eve, causing injuries that required staples. Angeles admitted to hitting him a “few” times.

Angeles was initially released, as the victim did not press charges, but was arrested again two days later after she allegedly hit the same man in the head with a stainless-steel frying pan, reopening his previous wounds.

Angeles is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, a Class C felony. She is currently held at the Stutsman County Correctional Center on a bond $1,000 cash or $5,000 surety and has been ordered to have no contact with the victim.
