A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for central and portions of northwest North Dakota until 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Hazardous travel conditions are expected through the day as light snow combines with northwest wind gusts as high as 60 miles per hour. These winds are creating widespread blowing snow, reducing visibility to a half-mile or less at times. Local officials warn that these conditions are making roads extremely slippery and will continue to impact travel through the afternoon.
