Jamestown Parks and Recreation is looking for community members to dive into the planning phase of a new outdoor pool project during an open house this Wednesday, April 29.

The event will run from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at The Bunker, located at 1520 3rd St. NE.

This open house is a step in the Jamestown Parks and Recreation District’s Comprehensive Plan. The city currently offers indoor swimming at the Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC) and the outdoor Meidinger Splash Park, but this new proposal aims to bring an outdoor pool back to the community.

The discussion topics will be desired features, like lap lanes, diving boards, or water slides, family value–as in, what amenities would make this a go-to spot for families, and concept design.

Feedback gathered during this session will inform the next phase of concept development and technical planning.

If you cannot attend the meeting in person, your voice can still be heard. Parks and Rec will provide a link to a feedback form on their official channels.
