A pedestrian was killed early this morning after being hit by a car in Fargo. At approximately 2:46 a.m., a Ford Fusion driven by a 25-year-old woman struck a 38-year-old man who was crossing 32nd Avenue South, according to the State Patrol. The release says the man was crossing about 20 to 30 yards east of the 9th Street intersection. Weather and road conditions were good at the time of the accident.
Troopers say that the driver initially left the scene of the crash, but returned about 10 minutes later. The pedestrian suffered extensive injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Identities have not yet been released for either party involved, as the crash remains under investigation.
