A juvenile from Dickinson was killed Saturday evening in a scooter crash on the city’s west side.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened at about 5:15 p.m. Mountain Time on 30th Avenue West. Troopers say the driver was riding a 2021 Honda scooter southbound when it veered to the right, overturned and hit a light post.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The patrol says the driver was wearing a helmet, and road conditions were dry and clear at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation with no cause for the scooter veering off the road discovered.
The juvenile driver’s name will not be released due to privacy and protection laws.
