Jamestown residents may have noticed some activity in the sky Wednesday, as folks test out their kites for the 32nd annual Kite Festival.
Jamestown Parks and Rec and the Wings on Strings Kite Club are preparing for the festival, which kicks off 10 a.m. Friday at Meidinger Park Field. The event runs through Sunday, and is completely free. It brings in kiting enthusiasts from all over the world.
Families can look forward to a weekend of kid’s kite-building workshops, vendor shows, candy drops, and, of course, high-flying demonstrations.
