North Dakotans can fish without a license this weekend.
The North Dakota Game and Fish Department says the state’s free fishing weekend is Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7.
During that time, North Dakota residents 16 and older can fish any state water without a resident fishing license. Residents 15 and younger do not need a fishing license at any time of year.
Fishing regulations still apply at all times of the year.
Information on rules, places to fish and basic equipment is available through gf.nd.gov.
