The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the man killed in a crash on Highway 2 east of Palermo.
Troopers say 22-year-old Mark Eliason of New Town was driving a GMC Sierra south on 67th Avenue Northwest when he failed to yield to an eastbound Ford Expedition on Highway 2. The crash happened just after midnight Monday while it was raining and the road was wet.
Eliason was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Expedition has been identified as 59-year-old Monah Lee of Minot. She was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.
