North Dakota clerks of court wrapped up a two-day conference Thursday at the State Capitol in Bismarck.  The state court system says more than 70 district and municipal court clerks took part.

The one of the sessions focused growing use of artificial intelligence in court administration, others on day-to-day court operations, public communication, technology updates. Clerks also heard updates from the North Dakota Law Library, the Self-Help Center and the new Office of Guardianship and Conservatorship.

North Dakota Supreme Court Chief Justice Lisa Fair McEvers was in attendance welcomed attendees Wednesday.

Officials at the conference said clerks remain a key part of courthouse operations, from maintaining official records to helping judges, attorneys and the public move cases through the system.  Every county in the state has at least one clerk assigned through their District Court.
