BY DANY LEDDA, KSJB SPORTS (Lisbon, ND) – In a Class A Region 1 matchup, the #4 ranked Northern Cass Jaguars, white hot off a win over Bottineau, took to the road to face the Lisbon Broncos at The Joe Howell Athletic Complex.
On Lisbon’s first play from scrimmage, Bronco running back Cruz Reinke broke free on a 73-yard touchdown run, stunning the Jaguars before they would find their rhythym. Northern Cass QB Husdon Rietschel managed his offense against a stingy Bronco defense with touchdown passes to Brody Zieske and Atticus Gietzen, and running back Trevor Lee scoring a rushing touchdown.
An intentional grounding call against Lisbon quarterback Rylan Moss from his own end zone added two more points to the Jaguars tally for a final score of 22-6.
Northern Cass will host Sargent County next week, Lisbon will also be on the road, playing on the new turf at Hanna Field against the Valley City Hi-Liners.
