BY DANY LEDDA, KSJB SPORTS (Edgeley, ND) – In what was billed as a heavyweight shootout in A division football, #3 Northern Cass came into Edgeley to face #1 Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm. Stingy Thunder defense held the Jaguars to only 6 points.
On his senior night, Quarterback Drew Thorpe was phenomenal, responsible for 6 touchdowns as #1 EEK bests #3 Northern Cass 42-6.
Thorpe connected with fellow seniors Brogan Young for a pair of touchdown passes while Brady Hanson reeled in another; Thorpe ran in the other 3 on his own. In their lone trip to the endzone, Northern Cass Jaguars QB Hudson Riestschel connected with Hudson Gellner.
The Ellendale Edgeley Kulm Thunder (8-0) travel to Oakes (5-2) next week to end their regular season on the road; while Northern Cass (7-1) makes the trip to Valley City (1-7).
We will be in Napoleon for our Game Of The Week as Napoleon Gackle Streeter (7-1) host Hettinger County (2-6)
