Stella Parton is asking the public to show greater compassion as her family continues grieving the death of country music legend Dolly Parton. In a message shared on Instagram, Stella thanked fans who have offered genuine support while addressing the difficult side of mourning someone whose life was lived in the public eye.

Her statement also raised concerns about the amount of AI-generated material, misinformation, and insensitive commentary circulating online since Dolly’s death. Stella said the constant stream of fabricated content has been difficult for the family to absorb or ignore while dealing with their loss.

She encouraged people to remember Dolly through the values she demonstrated during her life, including kindness, tolerance, and respect for others. Stella also noted that her sister often avoided divisive public discussions and preferred to focus her energy on bringing people together.

Dolly Parton died on August 25 at age 80 following a brief battle with cancer. Her decades-long career included major achievements in country and pop music, film, and philanthropy.
