A reminder that the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive is Saturday.
People in Jamestown, Valley City, Fargo, Grand Forks and other parts of North Dakota are asked to leave a bag of nonperishable food by their mailbox before regular mail delivery, and letter carriers will pick it up along their routes.
The food stays local and helps support food banks and pantries in each community. Residents should check with their local post office for information on whether their community and carriers are participating in the voluntary annual program.
